Best Ultra Run Experience:
Completing 54 miles of Badwater Ultramarathon 2000 as a pacer before runner was forced to pull out. One of the most fullfilling experiences of my life.
Weird Experience:
See above
Challenge:
Badwater Ultra marathon 2000. Having just returned to full training after major knee surgery. With only 3 months to record any sort of fitness I was delighted with my progress during this race.
Why:
This will be my first as a racer and why not start with the best.
Why badwater:
The experience during my time as a pacer during 2000 made me determined to compete and complete as a racer.
Other Exp.:
I will be spending 6 months from December on the Island of Ascension which is 10 degrees south of the equator and will be a constant 90 degrees Celsius. It is my intention to use this time in order to train and prepare myself for the race. I intend, once acclimatised, to organise and run at least 2 50 milers whilst I am in Ascension. If I am allowed to enter I will prepare myself fully for the challenge.
Also, a 24 hour soccer match held for charity.
