50mi- Although I had no previous Ultra marathon experience, I did complete 54 continuous miles last year before the runner I was supporting had to pull out through injury. Also as a member of the Armed Forces I am endurance trained.
Also: The Ridgeway Yomp, 11 Nov 00, 50 miles, 14hrs 35 mins, Self-supporting charity running event which I organized and then ran, as a group, with fellow servicemen. We all completed the distance, together.

Best Ultra Run Experience:
Completing 54 miles of Badwater Ultramarathon 2000 as a pacer before runner was forced to pull out. One of the most fullfilling experiences of my life.
Badwater Ultra marathon 2000. Having just returned to full training after major knee surgery. With only 3 months to record any sort of fitness I was delighted with my progress during this race.
This will be my first as a racer and why not start with the best.
The experience during my time as a pacer during 2000 made me determined to compete and complete as a racer.
I will be spending 6 months from December on the Island of Ascension which is 10 degrees south of the equator and will be a constant 90 degrees Celsius. It is my intention to use this time in order to train and prepare myself for the race. I intend, once acclimatised, to organise and run at least 2 50 milers whilst I am in Ascension. If I am allowed to enter I will prepare myself fully for the challenge.
Also, a 24 hour soccer match held for charity.
Tri service interest for furture participation. Royal Air Force, Army and Navy.
Cancer research UK. Several of the intended runners and racers have been touched at some stage by cancer wether personally or through family members.
