Best Ultra Run Experience:

Vermont 100m Woodstock, VT, July 1999 I had my family as my crew. They were great support to me. As a result I had my best performance in my ultra running career to date, even though the high tempeture during the race was 100 degrees. I finished first among the women and fifth overall.

Weird Experience:

Challenge:

Bishop High-Sierra 50 miler, Bishop, CA, May 1999 It was a tough race between myself and the second place woman over a very difficult course. During the race the lead changed hands several times forcing a very competitive and exhausting race.

Why:

I love the extreme mental and physical challenge that ultra running gives me. The discipline and focus I gain from this I use in all areas of my life.

Why badwater:

In my 29 years of running, I have competed in everthing from 200 meters on the track to 100 mile trail race. I need a new challenge and Badwater will fulfill that challenge. I feel I will do well at Badwater, because some of my best perfomances have come in extreme heat.
