Best Ultra Run Experience:

Badwater 135, 1998 - @ 36m (5 miles short of Stovepipe) - experiencing severe dehydration & body cramps - off the course for over 7 hours while crew (family) revived me - really found out why they call them endurance runs

Weird Experience:

Badwater 135, 1999 - @ 124m sunset (Alabama Hills) - hallucinating ?? - thought I saw faces (Disney Characters) on the hills- until my crew (wife) said she saw them, too

Challenge:

WS, 1997 - finishing last 10 miles with a sprained ankle
Badwater, 1998 - just finishing after battle with dehydration

Why:

Running is not fun unless it lasts for more than five (5) hours.

Why badwater:

I enjoy the challenage of trying to beat the sun/heat and also the pleasure at the finish of what people (runner & crew) can accomplish
