Best Ultra Run Experience:

Weird Experience:

The Iditasport 130 in 2001... running at night after numerous hours and seeing things that were not really there... yet my eyes and mind told me they were!

Challenge:

The MDS 2001... It was my first experience... I had trained for multiple months... Had run in excess of 800+ miles in Oregon, the dunes in California near Blyth and the high desert in Southern Arizona... I was ready... Unfortunately, I fell and brused my kneecap 15 days before the race started... I went thru treatment, etc and thought all was fine... yet before the first day was completed... I re-injured it... I kept at it and finished the race, yet not as fast or as high as I would of liked to... Yet having the ability and the mindset to push myself to complete the race was a big challenege

Why:

The challenge, the experience and the opportunity to meet great people and learn from the best racers...

Why badwater:

I have always enjoyed pushing myself... This will be the toughest race and one that I know I can finish... I have a goal to race the toughest races in the extremes

Other Exp.:

Adventure Racing including the recent 5 day/350 mile race "The Beast"; OBRA XC Mountain Bike and CycloCross Races; See various listed in my Bio for 2001.
