Badwater Prediction:
Between 40 and 50 hours. In addition to my 24 hour racing I have also run across Indiana twice (1998 and 2001). Both of these multi-day runs were done in the July heat.

Challenge:
1999 Cornbelt 24 Hour. I had a 1 inch vertial tear in my achiles tendon and was scheduled for surgery the Tuesday following the race. I was able to complete 101 miles with a great deal of mental support from my running partner/mentor.

Why:
I love to challenge myself. I make new friendships (and renew old ones) at every race with people who have a great perspective on life.

Why badwater:
I love new challenges both physical and mental. This race will also broaden my ultrarunning perspective.
