100mi+-None, but I have run 70+ miles in Alaska on October 31. I have also run 83.37 miles on a loop track course in 18 hours before being bored to death. I also won the Howl at the Moon 8 hour run in 1996 with 55 miles (7:05:54 50-mile split).

Previous Badwater Racing: 1999: 26+ miles in 6 hours with a very serious Achilles tendon injury. I shouldn't have even started, but I needed and wanted the experience.
Previous Badwater Crewing:
Previous Badwater Clinic

Badwater Prediction:

Based on the times above and a heart-to-heart talk with Denise Jones, I believe that my finish time for Badwater will be between 40 and 50 hours.

Weird Experience:

Running through Alaska in the middle of the Alaskan winter, north of the Tropic of cancer. I felt like I was running on the moon.

Challenge:

Definitely the Hardrock 100. Nothing even comes close. It's more of a hike than a run, but the mountains of Colorado can really make you appreciate what the miners went through in their search for "making it" in the west.

Why:

I used to wax philosophic and give answers about experiencing spiritual rebirth. Now, I run them to get away from the routine of work. Pure enjoyment.

Why badwater:

Honestly, I want to start Badwater again. I tried in 1999 when I was injured and was having a hard time walking to the start. Something is drawing me back. If I had to give one reasson, it is that my father died in September 2001 while I was on a business trip and I want to experience certain things before I die. A badwater finish is one of them. sounds morbid, but a Badwater finish is at the top of my running goals as a result of his death.

Other Exp.:

24 hour ROGAINE in northern Michigan in 1995 or 1996. We (2 person team) finished exhaused, but honestly, it was done for fun so I have no idea of time or place. Some races are done that way.
