My Badwater Finishing Prediction:

My anticipated time is Under 40 hours. I have come to that anticipation with my trainer Lisa Smith and one of my team-mates Noel Hanna. The experience backing I am going to use is that I finished the OD 100 in 21 hours.

My Weirdest Experience:

My weirdest ultrarunning experience has got to be during a race in Santa Monica. This was actually what inspired me to get into adventure racing. This was my first race and the run was 50 Miles. One of my good friends had asked me to do this with him. My friend at the time was a little on the chunky side so I figured if he could do it so could I. To my unbelief he was in such good cardovascular shape and I was dying. Gasping for air, dizzy and feeling so out of shape. We finished the race and I knew from that minute forward that I was going to train and continue to race.

My Most Challenging Race Experience:

Alaska - Iditasport - February 2001. Finished in 1st place. It was one of my most challenging because it was extremely isolated and cold. It was snowy conditions and it was a rough thing to get through.

Why I Run Ultras:

I do it mainly for the fun and experience but also for the drive that it gives me as I cross the finish line.

Why I want a slot on the start line of the 2003 Badwater Ultramarathon:

I have never done a Badwater event before and I want to have the experience and maybe start a trend like I have done with all the Balance Bar Races. I make sure to do at least 4 out of the 6 a year that they hold.
