My Badwater Finishing Prediction:

Between 50 and 60 hours

My Weirdest Experience:

Great hallucinations on multiple days race, while suffering from sleep deprivation e-g: 1.Four Winds Race, Utah 8/2002 - seeing an Easter Bunny 3 feet tall with huge ears, staring at me on the side of the trail
2. Four winds Race, Utah 8/2002 - seeing a little Vietnamese lady with her pointy hat squatting on the side of the trail, pointing out at a hole in a fence, when in fact neither did she or the fence existed...
3. Trans 333, Dec 2002, Tunisian desert - the runner in front of me, started to resemble a little salame disappearing in the horizon and that I was trying to catch...

My Most Challenging Race Experience:

Iditarod Trail Invitational 350 miles by foot in Alaska, February 2003. 9 days & 21 hours! Sections with deep deep snow where one could only move at a speed of 1-2 miles an hour. Long & Gruelsome work, while pulling an heavy sleigh in -25 Farenheit, with almost no support...

Why I Run Ultras:

Love the challenges that they represent while travelling through great landscapes.
Love the ultrarunning & adventure racing community as well.

Why I want a slot on the start line of the 2003 Badwater Ultramarathon:

I enjoyed the most racing in harsh challenging climatic conditions. While completing long & gruelsome events in Alaska and in the African Desert (2 Trans 333), I met several Badwater veterans who all mentioned to me how much I should really enter this classic ultra and how I will probably love the experience !
