My Weirdest Experience:

Quicksilver 50 Mile Run 2002 A mountain lion jumped out in front of me and we had a 15-30 second stare down before he decided I was too big to eat.

My Most Challenging Race Experience:

Western States 2002, I thought I was ammune to feet problems as I never had blistering problems before. 1 of 6 unofficial finishers 30:23:52, I learned a tremendous lesson from the race and have learned a significant amount about feet since then.

Why I want a slot on the start line of the 2003 Badwater Ultramarathon:

I've followed it for several years and have a strong desire to compete, additionally as a geology student I've spent a significant amount of time in the desert and have a love for Death Valley, what better way could there be to return.
