Between 40 and 50 hours. Based upon my 100 mile times. I am not fast, but very steady. My strength is my attitude and drive.

My Weirdest Experience:

Barkley Marathons, 1-Mar-2001, 1-loop. This event has its own attitude. Unmarked, very treacherous, and quite entertaining. I enjoyed it. but it was different.

My Most Challenging Race Experience:

Hardrock 100 Mile, July of 2000 & 2001. Being from Texas, the mountain races of many climbs over 13000 feet, along with all variety of weather. I completely enjoyed this event. It was tough & fun.

Why I want a slot on the start line of the 2003 Badwater Ultramarathon:

It intrigues me. I know Rich Benyo and he has been picking on me for years to run it. He has prmosed to crew for me if I did. So if I get in, he and his family are my crew.

Here is my athletic resume: Joe Prusaitis began running road races 15 years ago, and trail 5 years ago. Completed over 200 road races from the marathon to the mile, including 35 marathons. He co-directed the Motorola Marathon a few years and currently sits on it's Board of Directors. Since moving to trail, he has completed over 50 ultra distance events, including 15 100-mile finishes, a 24 Hour, and a 48 Hour. He is partial to more challenging events such as Hardrock, Barkley, & Badwater. He has created the Rocky Hill Ranch 50K, the Bandera 100K, and is now directing the Rocky Racoon 100 miler.
