Things have quieted down here at Headquarters in Lone Pine. Six more people have finished the race, including Lisa Smith, but their times have not been communicated to us yet. Colin Evans just walked in here with a big stick he found alongside the road. He seems to have grown attached to it. He's next door at PJ's Cafe having some food and trying to find a burn kit to treat his blisters so he can keep going to the finish. He tied a rock (and now it's a sock) to the bottom of his shoe to take the pressure off the blisters.

One of Major Maples people was here for awhile. Looks like the Major is 15 miles out of Lone Pine. If you see him ask him about the 42-mile watermelon and the missing bottles of Snapple...

Rumour has it the Russian winner had blood squirting out of his shoes towards the end of the race...

Uli Weber just stopped in and checked out the Webcast while eating some soup. He looked good.

I think I am setting a Guinness World Record for number of cups of coffee drunk in a 24-hour period...
